After a while without having written anything, I'm back with some stories of Czech Republic and in English this time! I switched of language because of a certain man who was a bit grognasse one
day and told me that an English blog could be more useful for everyone...So, even if I'm not totally sure about my English skills, I’ll try to manage it for my dear friend Jakub Skopek :P (
But I also know it would be great for a lot of other people…So, you were kind of right monsieur!)
First of all, my Christmas holidays didn’t really start in Czech but in Jyväskylä in central
Finland. I went with Audrée to celebrate Christmas with Pilvi’s family. That was just awesome! We not always got our real Finnish Christmas but we also felt like if we had a family abroad. The
most difficult for me the first time that I spent this period of the year in Europe, was definitely to know my family in Canada and me in stupid France… It is just too important to be well
surrounded at Christmas, it’s a law! This time, that’s was perfect. We really felt like at home, Tuula really acted like our maman J and our time spent with Paoli was really cool even if we could not communicate with him in English! We spent 5 days there and that was very relaxed, we went to the forest many times
after we realized how metsalainen we were and we didn’t wanted to do that much kaupunkilainen activities, of course ! The time spent with Pilvi was also very great, we don’t always have time to
chill together at school and those holidays were just the perfect moment to do it.
And then, on the 27 of December, we left Finland to go to Czech Republic to meet all or
Czech friends, my friend EDITH and some daneks. Two weeks, of good beers, good food, good people, good moments, some grognasse times too but, no big deal! We went to Prague like every tourist
does but we also visited Ceska Kanada, where we celabrated the New Year eve in a cottage in the forest! What a nice time! No shower for 4 days,
costumed moments with friends, discovery of the hermelin and improvements of my Czech skills: P what do you want more ?! We visited a bit the
countryside of Czech, were we met Jakub’s parents who hosted us pretty well!! His mother is the queen of cooking! After all those sweets, we passed
by Brno and Zlin to meet our friends Jan and Lukas and went back to Prague after our last stop in Pacov the city of our artistic friend Veronika J
Prague was great too, a bit cold compared to the article circle but that was nice to spend time there, to go to
the ballet at the Opera and look chic and rich ! Haha! What I really loved in this trip was that it was just chill all the time. We never woke up early, we seen everyone that we
wanted to see and that was just a good way to say our last farewells to our best friends met in Rovaniemi. The moment where we left Klara and Jakub at the airport was probably the most painful
moment of this beautiful trip L Audree and I cried for…. A fucking long time! We bought some whiskey and spent one night drinking sips for every of our friends who
would not be in Finland for this new semester. Sounds a bit pathetic but that was very symbolic I’ll say!
Now we are back! The head full of great memories. I still need a bit more time to get use to my “new” life. To accept that Jakub and Alex won’t couchsurf at our place anymore. We have to start to
think about cleaning the kitchen by ourselves and forgetting about this delicious Austian food, or klara’s babovka… this semester is a new era. No brunches forever, No lunches and coffes with
Jakub in Lovisa for 5 hours, No Jon Lajoie jokes anymore (I’ll try hard). This semester I get a life! (I’ll also try very hard( should start by finishing the poneys…)) ! It’s really time for all
of us (Even the people who are gone! haha) to stop playing cards and drink whiskey every day and do something with our lives! Lol the blues are still there for me, I kind of sulk the new exchange
students but it will changes soon I guess. Life is well done, that was just too beautiful to meet you all, guys! Too beautiful to be sad of it :P Hope with all my heart to see you again in future
!! kisses and hugs for everyone who chilled with us in our Quebecilainen flat :P
I don't have time now to put the pictures of Czech on my blog but as soon as my oral presentation will be done, I'll manage to add some new pictures about Czech republic but also maybe about
Rovaniemi because I just realized the last ones are very old. They are from our first brunch, this time when the sun haven’t been gone and when Skopek didn't decided to grow a beard !
